Pleasure meeting Howard

It was an absolute pleasure meeting Howard. Very knowledgeable, and a great guy to deal with. Picked up some Ohlins shocks for the rear of my SGS. Cannot wait to install in the coming weeks.

Howard really knows his stuff, and has no problem spending the time to explain how shocks work. I strongly encourage anyone looking to get shocks or new fork shocks, to talk to Howard before you do anything or waste your time talking Witt some of these YouTube BS artists who know only slightly more then I do, and I know crap about suspensions.

I haven't been active on here in a while, but I am glad to hear that Howard is still around. I had a set of Ohlins from him on my 2015 Low Rider and they were outstanding shocks set up very well by Howard. I had several phone conversations with him before and after the purchase. When I first got them I posted something on here about how I had them set and he told me to call him when it was convenient. He had some thoughts about my settings. Needless to say, while my settings were good, his suggestions made everything even better.

You realize that thread is over a year old?

Actually, my comment was less than five months after the original post.

Man that sucks. Condolences to his family. That guy commenting is right. Howard could talk, and if you emailed him he'd reply with "call me."

I just put some Ohlins on My Street Glide. This time they weren't custom from Motorcycle Metal, but Ohlins did take my weight, cargo weight, and how I ride (solo or two up) before telling me what spring I would need. Thanks to wisdom I got from Howard back in 2015 I was able to dial them in. Ohlins definitely had the spring pre-load too hard out of the box. I backed it off about six millimeters and the ride was smooth.
