Up for sale is an unused 100th Anniversary Harley Davidson Cover 91626-03. When I bought my Fatboy the guy had this and it is unused because it doesn't fit a Fatboy. Fits Sport Models XL, FX, FXR, FXD & FXDL (Except FXDWG).

if you go by manufacturer recommendations, yes 5 years is recommended
mow if you drop your helmet, yes you can not use it again
but in both case nobody follow
