Oh no, that's a nice bike you have there. Try to keep it and get the new one. You Harley won't care what's sitting next to it in the garage.

I did something similar and traded my Wide Glide for a Yamaha FZ-09. I like the new bike. Its faster, lighter, way more nimble but its not my Harley. Needless to say I've been kicking myself ever since. I'll probably ride what I have for a year and get a Street Bob. My major complaint with the Wide Glide was the handling and I think a Street Bob would be better in that department.

People talk about Harley's having soul and I never understood that statement until I made the switch. Cue the music "you don't know what you got til its gone" haha.

Good luck with the ninja but I have a feeling you'll be back. I know I will.

Just sold an FJR to move to my first HD. Both rides have their advantages and disadvantages. Not going to miss the annual valve adjustments, but then again, the FJR was a lot quicker. What I really like about the HD is the ability to customize the bike to make it mine, and yea, the rice burners have no soul.

Ride safe!

Thanks guys. I will definitely hit up a few places around Tn and further with the new bike. Id really like to take some advanced riding lessons maybe even some track stuff.

I know I will miss the street bob but I will eventually get another. Love being able to turn sharp without scraping pegs. And the power is just at the flick of the wrist. The Harley is great too just to relax, cruise, taking in the scenery and smells.

There are really 4 bikes that I would love to own .. my current bike, the ninja, the kawi zx14-r and a bmw gs1200 for offroad.

If i was working, Id keep the harley but im back in school full time so not really any income besides gi bill. I have plenty of time though .. you havent seen theast of me .

What forum did this get moved too? Doesnt show on smart phone.

Oh I see, classified. This wasnt meant to be a classified as i already have one posted. Could mods move it back to dyna forum? Maybe change title to something more applicable? Doesnt look like mods actually read the content rather just the title. There is no sales pitch or information in this thread.
