1982 FXRS (Second Owner)
For sale is my 1982 FXRS
This was one of the first bikes Harley produced when they bought out AMF in 1981
It is a rubber mounted 1340 Shovel Head and it was only made for 2 years (1982-1983)
Nice story on the FXRS history here http://www.hotbikeweb.com/bikes/sepa...ys-history-fxr
I am the second owner of this bike and have had it since about 1989
I had the Top End rebuilt about 1000 miles ago. The Bike runs Strong.
I rode it to and from work for the last week while I was doing some work on my Electraglide. She ran great!
The paint has some issues and should be redone. I had the paint job done around 1991. There is some rust under the mural. Also the petcock started leaking on me several years ago and by the time I noticed it some of the paint on the tank started to bubble. I sanded it down and primed it but never had it repainted.
I put a Custom Chrome Wide Glide conversion on it around 2001 as well as new bars and forward controls. I still have the original triple trees, and handle bars if you want to take it back to stock. I may still have the mid controls but I would have to look.
I hate to sell it but I just inherited a 1957 Servi-Car from my Uncle and I need room and money to start working on it. It will be a sad day when it leaves my garage.
Please contact me if you have any questions. I can provide my cell phone number to interested parties.
I have great feedback on Ebay under user name kitehog. I also have sold a lot of high dollar camera gear on Fred Miranda forums under the same user name. (They have a feed back section)
The bike is originally from Florida but I now live in PA and that is where it is located.
Lots of pictures here

Asking Price $6250 OBO
Shipping if needed is on your dime but I will work with you to get the bike where it needs to be.
