Thinking about selling my '07 RKC

3 Attachment(s)
I've been gone from this forum for a few years now. Have had some surgeries etc. But what I need to do is sell my '07 Road King Classic. It actually looks better than it did when I took it out of the showroom. There's so much chrome on her that it is a problem when the sun is out! It has 7025 miles on it right now. I really don't know what kind of price I can get for her so any honest bidding would be appreciated. I won't give it away for nothing. I would just keep it for my kids or grandson or granddaughter! She likes it a lot. Anyway take a look and let me know. Has Stage 1 V&H setup. Thanks.

I can tell you back in 2009 when I bought my HD my dealer had the same bike same color 7 years old at the time, 3k miles for $12,000, no tourpack though. I think $12k is the tops you would get, and yours is 10 years old with new ones at $19k. Probably $10k to $11k

Someone here will tell you $8k - $9k in which case my son will buy it LOL

I understand about the price but I'm not going to give it away. I live just north of Chicago - Niles, IL.

If you get $10000 you will be doing good so put 11500 on it and you have wiggle room.

So what your saying is that all of the add-ons, chrome, bags, etc. are just thrown in for the heck of it. I may be better off taking everything off and selling it for parts! Then sell the bike for $10k!

Notgrownup 07-20-2016 07:38 PM

Bling doesn't make a damn whole lot of difference in value so yes, you're better off taking it off and selling it seperately.

here's what you're competing against in a 200 mile range from your home. Location plays a huge part in what bikes actually sell for.

none are as nice as yours. but they aren't sold either

If it was me, I'd list at $11500 and look for as close to $11000 as you can get

Your bike in California or Texas or Florida may only be an $8000 bike.

I've got a crazy idea, instead of everybody guessing, let's actually take a look at what the actual current value is...

Kelley Blue Book (which is usually much higher than NADA): Wholesale: $8,500 Retail: $11,600

NADA: (If you're at the dealership, they'll use this one): Wholesale: $7,400 Retail: $9,700
