I just have a few questions. I am wanting to buy a Harley, but I am getting married soon and trying to buy a new house. So if I bought one it would have to be a reasonable price. So does any one know how to get ahold of a repo, or bank auction, police auction, etc? I live in Indiana, and have been tryin to search the web, but cannot find anything. please help. thanks.

 

You could get a cheap salvage title bike on ebay. You will have to pay cash for it because banks wont touch them in most cases.

 

I've seen repos on E-bay being sold by dealers.

 

How much are you looking to spend. I have one for sale for 10K. thats about 4K cheaper than new for the same bake. I have some typical mods completed as well. Let me know.

Wouldn't some of you be worried about buying a salvaged titled bike? I thought you could not register a bike for road use with a salvage title?

 

In most states you can, mine was a Certificate of Destruciton(parts only) which is worse than salvage but after repairing and having it inspected it got a prior salvage title. If you never want to sell it this is a good way to go. Only reason I say this is because no one seems to want a prior salvage title no matter what the condition is now.
