Default 1976 flh

Here is a partial list of work I've done recently:

replaced handlebars and grips
replaced throttle cables
removed/cleaned out gas tanks (ended up replacing tanks with new)
replaced gas tank mounting hardware
rebuilt S&S carburetor
replaced fuel petcock and fuel lines


installed new shift pegs
installed new seat
changed oil
replaced oil lines
changed transmission fluid
installed new battery
checked/fixed all electrical issues
new exhaust pipes
replaced tires/tubes/rim strips
replaced wheel bearings/races/seals
replaced swing arm bearings/races
replaced steering bearings/races
rebuilt front forks
flushed brake systems
replaced brake pads
removed belt primary
converted back to chain primary
replaced vented primary cover with solid chrome
replaced clutch hub
replaced clutch disks
replaced clutch springs
replaced clutch pushrod
replaced throw out bearing
replaced clutch cable
added kickstart
replaced speedometer cable
replaced starter motor
replaced starter clutch
replaced starter housing bearing and plate
replaced rear shocks
fitted late model halogen headlamp
added new hard saddle bags
painted all flat gray

If I had to throw out the first number, I'd hope for 10k
Shovelheads are on the rise.

Shovels get a bad wrap, but I know they are a good platform.
The trouble like most things is when people start adding bailing wire and vise grips for repairs ...
because they don't know better or are too cheap.

Ain't for everybody. Some people want gas-n-go, and struggle with that. lol
Great bike for the right person.

That is a really nice bike. I would love to own it but I have enough currently. I had a '76 Sporty back then. That is the year I graduated high school. GLWTS
