For Sale: 2009 XR1200 in Houston,TX Cyclesource mag best in class winner
For Sale
9000$ OBO
2009 XR1200
VIN: 1HD1LA6189K448021
I'm the 2nd owner of the bike.
I purchased it from a previous owner here in Galveston, after the purchase I did lots and lots of mods to the bike.
I'm interested in an outright sale
Mods on the bike:
External:
Frank body parts (fiberglass front fender, rear tail section, chin spoiler and tank cover) from Germany. Paint Work done by Pygmy local painter at Galveston
Waving Rear rotor with Brembo
D&D full 2-1 exhaust with carbon fiber from Texas
Upgraded to Big Piston forks Showa H-D front & rear suspension (these came standard in XRx model)
EBC rotors in the front
Excel Rims in front and rear with powder coated spokes & nipples in Black color
Free Spirits Air Filter from Italy
Free Spirits pulley from Italy
Powder coated rockers, push rods & tappet block to match the gold laced wheel to match the wheels
Tail Tidy with Led light
Oberon LED blinkers in front and rear from UK
Oberon short shifter levers from UK
Storz quick shifter
RSD brass grips
Bitwell flat tracker bar
Heat Demons Internal heated throttle
K&D 2" lowered pegs
Daymaker LED headlight
Screaming Eagle Tuner
Internal:
Scotty Mod 38T Conv (reduces the vibration)
Bike has 8750 miles and counting as I ride around the block to keep her warmed up.
Interesting Info:
Hope to sell to someone who knows what has gotten into the bike and who would really understand and appreciate the time and effort that I've put into it.
This bike is absolute blast and fun to ride. Too much blast and fun to ride
(Cool fact: H-D only made less than 11000 in production) it turns head as folks are in disbelief and ask me if that's a H-D.
Lean angle of 39* & 40* making it one of the sportiest bike that ever came out of factory.
Makes 85hp/90TQ last time that I dyno'ed on a stock motor
Have Won Cyclesource magazine best in class category bike for the year 2017 and 2018 at Lonestar Rally in Galveston,TX. Have pics to prove.

very nice! Did you also post this on the XR1200 owners forum (https://www.xr1200ownersgroup.com/site/forum.php) I'm sure that if nothing else the guys would love to see the pics!! It even looks like the tank hasn't expanded- your one of the lucky ones. I also see you found the free spirits air intake- I just got one- pricey but a gem of an add-on! I also have the D&D (dual) they sound great- I can only imagine yours sounds better! They made them specifically for the XR! Good luck with sale. Someone will get a special Harley.

i got FS from A&J cycles via ebay with the FS front pulley
changed the tank cover to frank parts, all body parts are by them from europe
still one of the best bikes they ever made, I guess in time they’ll bring this back for sure
D&D sounds awesome
many hardcore Harley folks are in disbelief that is that a Harley, they think for a ducati or some sorta sports bike
