Default SOLD - Incredible Retro 2006 Heritage Softail Classic

BIKE IS SOLD. THANKS FOR LOOKING.

Due to a combination of health- and age-related factors it's time to face the fact that I can no longer make the long-distance rides I bought my 2006 Heritage Softail Classic and set it up to do. I am the original owner, and the bike has been meticulously maintained by the same master Harley tech since new. The original paint is absolutely perfect. I have no illusions that I'm going to get back anything remotely close to what I put into it, but at this point I'd like to see it go to someone who will get the same joy out of riding and maintaining it as I have.

Here's a partial list of its modifications:

Engine-related:
- 97" S&S top end (no head work) 2000 miles ago
- Headquarters 0034 Hurricane cam (cam chain tensioners replaced @ 25,000 miles)
- Fuel Moto Power Commander
- Roland Sands (RSD) air cleaner assembly w/K&N filter and rain sock
- V&H True Duals w/fishtail end caps (new, regular and quiet baffles included)
- Dyno tuned

Progressive 422 shocks (chrome)
Front forks - Harley-Davidson chrome

Cosmetic:
- Custom Indian-style detachable saddlebags
- Custom-trimmed Corbin Dual-Tour seat w/matching backrest (can be used at front or rear position)
- Corbin chrome seat rail
- Custom matching Springer-style tank cover
- Custom matching Springer-style windshield bag

80-spoke Harley-Davidson chrome wheels
Avon Venom Wide Whitewalls (almost new)
Chrome Harley-Davidson front rotor
Wild One Chubby Mini-Ape bars (10" rise) (wires threaded through bars)
Stainless steel cables
Kuryakyn comfort grips, two throttle bosses
Kuryakyn trigger grip levers
Chrome switch surrounds
Fender lights - LED, smoked lenses
Cee Bailey 16" windshield (additional spare included)
Front & rear signals - run-turn
Rear brake light and Front headlight - LED
Light shrouds - Harley-Davidson chrome
Front and rear Nostalgic crash bars
Inner primary - chrome cover
Mini-Beast air horn (will shock 18-wheelers!)
GPS/iPhone handlebar mount
Handlebar mounted electrical power point
Extended brake pedal
Shortened rear turn signal bar

In addition to other small items too numerous to mention, I will include a set of Iron Rider luggage in excellent condition, as well as a spare windshield (plastic only) and the original, practically new stock front and rear seats.

Asking $12,995 or best offer.
Payment by Paypal or cash.
No trades of any kind.
No test rides; on-site inspection by your designated mechanic okay.
Will ship at buyer's expense.
Lowball offers will go unanswered.

Bidding has begun here on my bike. This is a special bike as you can see, worthy of serious consideration. 48 hours to go.

Nice bike OBP. Your taste is even better than your vocabulary. If you held off until Spring I would buy it, for my wife. She is going to learn to ride.
What is the mileage?

Thanks Ron. Appreciate it. The miles are 40,000, but only 2000 on a new S&S 97" top end. Also, the cam chain tensioners were replaced at 25K.

Several people have expressed interest. It would be a great bike for your wife, with that low Corbin seat and low center of gravity. Easy bike to handle. I'd love to hold it for you, but I really don't ride anymore and it seems a shame to let it stand in the garage. Also, I need to make some more room for its replacement, which my wife bought me as a consolation prize for getting old (remember that thread about being happily married?):

Yeah, I couldn't expect you to hold it for my wife. She makes full use of the woman's prerogative option! Do you still have another bike?

What a beauty, pretty much what I am shopping for, too bad you're on the left coast...

Thanks for the compliment. Here's an idea! Or, you could take a fantastic cross-country ride. This bike is set up for exactly that. And if you (like me) have a skinny butt, I'll throw in the Airhawk cushion you see in the pics.
