Default Colorado Springs Riding Season?

I may have an opportunity to relocate to the Colorado Springs area very soon. I have spent a bit of time in Co Springs, no motorcycle riding though unfortunately. I have searched and found a number of good routes out of Co Springs but was wondering what kind of riding "season" you guys have there? I know year by year may be different with snow and cold snaps, but maybe you could give a general idea of how long I could continue to ride there? I guess I would have to get some heated gloves. HA!

Thanks in advance!

You can ride year round. Depends on your comfort levels with sand. All through winter there are 50 degree days. And the snow melts pretty quick. The city doesn't pick up the sand they put on the roads very often. Maybe twice all winter/spring.

Thank you for the heads up on the sand. That will kind of suck. I would not be riding around town too much, short blasts for lunch maybe. Other than that, I would be riding to get OUT of town. From what I am gathering, South might be ok for day trippin on those somewhat "warmer" winter days.

Thanks!

Going to be riding out to CO Springs end of June and heading up to Pikes Peak. Used to live in CO.

I live in the Springs and ride year round. Morning like this morning where is is just under 40 the heated grips would be nice. Think I am using points I have with the dealer to get some this weekend.

However 60 this afternoon and am looking forward to ride home. The long way of course.
