If you are heading through Colorado the two highways you must ride are highway 141 through Gateway and then continue down "the Million Dollar Highway" (Highway 550). These are great motorcycle roads with lots of curves but take your time. Stop often, look around and take pictures. These are some of the most beautiful areas of the US.

Nice pictures, I think we have some of the same ones. Stayed in Ouray for a week a couple years ago, been out to CO a couple of times great riding. I learned a very important lesson when riding the Rockies DON'T FORGET YOUR RAIN GEAR. We left Ouray forecast was no rain, had a great ride, stopped in Silverton, stop in Durango and had some good BBQ for lunch. It was about 80 degrees, left the restaurant and got hit with a huge storm got wet to the bone and had over 100 miles to go. Now it's like 50 degrees. I got hypothermia took all night to warm up. The wife was fine she had chaps on and me to hide behind. Should go out there again this year I see Shark Week is in Durango this year.
