Default Garmin Zumo 550

This Zumo 550 is in fantastic shape, nearly good as new. The rubber button covers are soft and pliant, no cracks or breaks. Screen is clean and bright. It has the latest firmware from Garmin. 2012 maps are loaded, but you can easily upgrade them to current maps at Garmin. Battery is still strong, but I rarely used it on battery. Included is the RAM Mount, cradle and hardwire cable so you can wire it into the bike's electrical system. You will need to buy the handlebar mount arm and u-bolt from RAM. If you get the optional XM Satellite antenna, this unit is capable of XM Satellite Radio. I replaced this with a Zumo 665 on my bike, so that is why I'm letting this gem go. Clean and perfect, no issues whatsoever.

This unit is very fresh and only used less than a year. I had a 450 with an extended warranty, that developed the issue where the rubber button covers cracked and broke off. Literally 14 days before the warranty expired, I exercised it. They sent me this new 550 since the 450’s are long gone. I’ve been keeping it as a backup unit for my 665, but it’s time to let it go.

Asking $300 shipped CONUS Only. PayPal preferred, if you’re in Dallas/Fort Worth we can meet somewhere.

Sorry to jump into this thread. I kind of had the same thing happen as the original poster. Had a 450 and after the 3rd repair, they sent me a 550. I had the 550 stolen and got a 665 instead. I need to confirm it is 665 and not a 660. I bought a Limited in 2014 with the built in (not so good) GPS. Never mounted the Zumo on it and learned to live with the HD one. Was using the Zumo in my 4 wheel vehicle since then. Just bought a new vehicle and it has a built in GPS also.

So, I am getting ready to sell my Garmin Zumo 665 with all the accessories. Was looking here to get some idea what they are selling for. Reggie0766, if you are looking for a Zumo, and willing to get a 665 instead of a 550, let me know. I have to say that the 665 is a major improvement over the 450 and the 550. Much brighter and much more stable.

Flhrbill, I used both basecamp and HD route planner with it. I also used Google Maps and exported the route. I am pretty sure somewhere here in the archives are some posts from me 5-10 years ago about how to do that.

When I sell my 665, it will come with both auto and bike mounts. I have the FM Traffic adapter. But, it is meant for a car, not bike. You have to use the cigarette lighter to power it and the GPS if you want that on the bike. That is one of my favorite features! I have the case and a after market sun shield for it. Not sure what else I will find as I look for parts, but I know I have other parts for different types of mounts. I sold the GXM-30 I had with it a long time ago. I think that was here too!

Have to agree.

Then don't. Start your own thread, with your 665 in the title. It'll get you better views, anyway -- people looking for what you're selling.

Yep I realize it was old. And, my zumo is not really for sale yet. That is why I felt it might be OK to reply to the fellow looking for a Zumo. But thanks for the feedback.
