I remeasured with the bolts straight and the minimum is 8 1/2" which I believe corresponds with ones I see on Ebay. I need it shorter for my big feet so I can get the shifter lower and can also get my toe on top for downshifts without taking my foot off the peg. Snazzy upgrade from the stock rod and much stronger! Still $15 shipped in the US.
