Are the vendors in a central location. Couple years ago, my first time, I went on the Patriot HD ride from Fairfax, and ended up in the Pentagon parking lot. Hours later all I wanted to do was get back to some AC and cold drinks. I hope to make the ride this year and see some vendors for some souveniers.

 

HD of Washington is the location of the "Vendor Alley" so you can swing by there all weekend. They are located in MD right of 210 near National Harbor.
