New to Daytona Bike Week

Ground zero is Main St in Daytona Beach. Visit The Boot Hill Saloon, Main St Station, Full Moon Saloon, Froggy's, Dirty Harry's & The Bank & Blues, which are the established places that are there year 'round. Sunsetters, on Main St & the river seems to have made it at that location, where others have failed. Have a deck & more food options than the other places. There are other joints, but they come and go each Bike Week.
Beach St, across the Main St Bridge has quite a few vendors. The Indian dealer is located there, quite a few independent shops and a lot of vendors lined up along the street.
Daytona International Speedway has a ton of vendors, most of the manufacturers' demo rides are there, and of course motorcycle racing.
A few miles north of Daytona, The Ormond Strip is located on US1. The Iron Horse Saloon, Beaver Bar, Smiley's Tap are year 'round establishments and within walking distance of each other. The Broken Spoke is next door Smiley's and is open during Bike Week & Biketoberfest. Annie Oakley's is in the area, but not walking distance from the others. The Harley dealer is just north of there on US1. Nice place to go if you like getting ripped off. White Eagle Lounge is 5 miles north on US1 and the little town of Bunnell has a surprising number of bars and good restaurants. Flagler Beach has a ton of restaurants & bars. St Augustine, maybe 50 miles north of Daytona, is worth a visit.
Hit Tropical Tattoo on Wed for a great bike show. Same day, the Cabbage Patch on Tomoka Farms Rd has cole slaw wrestling, quite a few vendors & is usually a good time. Straight out the same road for another 15 miles will bring you to the Fox Head Lounge, which is another year 'round biker joint. You might want to stop at the Daytona Flea Mkt on your way to the Cabbage Patch, as they usually have a swap meet going on.
Road Side Tavern,The First Turn, Racing's North Turn, The Last Resort Bar, & No Name Saloon are all south of town & can easily be hit on the return trip from The Patch or Fox Head.
Have fun. Ride Safe!

the HD dealer at exit 273 is a "must see" just due to sheer size.
the Speedway vendors fair is a "must see" due to the all the "big" vendors are there, and you can see stuff in action (like bat wing fairings set up with MP3 players on stands) and Demo Rides (that black credit card HD issues is good nationwide, and for a few years, so you can save time registering)
it was COLD when sun went down this year...
