I always stay at Lamphere Ranch adjacent to Glencoe. Nice thing is you can hear the raging going on over there and still manage to get a few hours sleep.
I'm moving to the Hills in a couple years and looking forward to spending time on Pactola, That's some beautiful country out there.
Thinking of it myself....Pactola is awesome....took my daughter fishing down there at Jenny Gulch.....we stayed at a site between Pactola and Deadwood....@ Custer Peak Road......not much of a ride or drive to any of the places.....

Two things prevent me from ever moving out there. Wind and winter! They both SUCK!!!!!

LOL!!!! I hear ya....but I'm in SOCAL where it's 100+ degrees most of the year now and I'm surrounded by a lot of people I don't like....I can tolerate winter and winds more than I can the density of people around here....
Downtown Sturgis on Lazelle and Main Street, and everything in between. Crossroads at the Chip and the outlying towns like Deadwood, Hill City, Keystone, and Rapid City Harley Davidson. I'd spend an afternoon walking Sturgis for starters.
And it was a beautiful day to ride the black hills today...perfect.
Bridal veils fall
Roughlock falls
Deadwood
Had dinner there at Mavericks our first day there....lots of old bikes there one of the days we were downtown....
