Daytona

Wife and I are thinking about attending Daytona bike week for the first time in March. My question is with the early time of the year does anyone ride from the NE (PA)? I have rode to Sturgis a few times so the miles don't bother me but worried about weather.

Been riding down there from Richmond, VA for about ten years now. Weather is always a crap shoot! Left in the snow twice and in the rain more than I care to remember. Seems to me coming home from the week has been better then going (weather wise), but that has real chilly several times as well. Daytona is great fun though! Happy Trails!

Hey Drtumolo... I am from Selinsgrove and we are going to Daytona Bike Week for the 1st time this year as well ! We decided to ship the bikes down using Harley Haul and Fly there and Back !! I realize that the ride is the point... BUT we plan to put on a TON of miles while we are there !!! Harley Haul is pretty affordable and there are excellent flights from Harrisburg direct to Sanford... March weather here is so unpredictable that we wanted our 1st Daytona trip to be as smooth as possible.

Hi Will, I am originally from Selinsgrove but now across the river in Sunbury. I have looked at the Harley Haul but REALLY would like to ride but unsure about the weather. I guess I need to make a decision soon. Where are you meeting Harley haul to load bike?

Buddy & I rode down from Philly a few years back. We had intended on trailering down to NC and riding the rest of the way. Just so happen that the day we were going to leave it was 65 degrees here, thus we rode. Coming back was another story, we got to Maryland and the temps dropped and had to bundle up.

With all that said, I'm looking to ride down this year, through my riding buddies can't go so I'm looking to "tag along" with others.

I will let you know if I decide to ride.
