So years ago I used to stay at the cascades camp ground. dear the race track. it is a motorcycle friendly place for sure. I have found the sleeping on the ground is no fun. not a fan of tents, So I opt for a cozy cabin up in Lincoln. Indian head resort.. This is one of my favorite places to go. I go back every year... I used to take my ex wife there. till she turned bat **** crazy... Had to get a new one... Any body notice a new bike is kinda like a new woman. takes time to refine it.

When they changed the date to August, I reached out to my usual Cottage guy to see if he had availability. Well it took him some time to get it all sorted out with other renters, who had to cancel etc. But we are in from Sunday to Sunday right in Weirs Beach. That makes me walking distance to Lakeside Avenue and all of the attractions plus whatever they are calling the Beer Tent, Lobster Pound and Drive In. And since it will be August, maybe it won't rain and stay above 60 degrees all week. Overall seems like it will be a good time to head north and get away.

"And since it will be August, maybe it won't rain and stay above 60 degrees all week" .... That would be a celebratory change of weather events :>)

uncle larry I could not agree more, it has been really too long in the worst part of the year. rain season here in the north east. The temp staying above 60 will be great. I remember years ago. 08,09 being hot as *** and so sticky so maybe we can all enjoy some ride and meet, I do hope we have a tent set up so we could sign in to see how many members attend, any thoughts?

I think it was '01 or '02 it was sooo damn hot all week, if you wanted to go for a ride you better do it first thing in the morning. By lunch time, it was piston melting time with the heat and traffic. We spent a good part of that week in the lake behind out cottage, too hot to be anywhere else.

Ah good times.
