Default Glencoe 2019

Finally it's time for another trip to Sturgis! Only been counting the days for 49 weeks.

I'll still have my blue RZR with blue light pole and, of course, the same wife. Been riding her 50 years now. Some things just don't get old you know! Longest lasting thing of my life.

We're moving out of M-19 though. Been camping in M-19 for the last 7 years but traded campers and only need 30 amp power now so moving across street to M-12.

Looking forward to seeing old friends again and watching wifey collect beads at night! Anybody else going this year?

I hope they can get the rain shut off soon. The street was closed Friday 7/5 at S curves east side of town for flooding! Yikes!! Friends I have living near say to bring plenty of bug protection this time as they are pretty bad. I have stocked heavy for bug control. You do same. If the maintenance crew can get grass cut back we have good chance with bugs. Fingers crossed.

Hoping to see everyone soon!

Hello Mowdoc,

Lord willing and the creek don't raise to much I will be there. Same spot as normal on the alley.

Always look forward to seeing you and your wife.

Safe travels my friend. See you soon.

Oh hell yes harleyhusker, seeing you is like Christmas in August!! I guess you are bringing the tree?

I'm thinking a light crowd this year but I have been wrong before. Just hope the crew at Glencoe can get the place ready. My buddy there sent a pic of Glencoe's entrance yesterday, err, make that used to be an entrance!! Its washed out big time right now. I could get in with my RZR but forget the camper!! Bear Butte creek has done a lot of damage. I figure the crew can get a gravel entrance made back without pavement but will lose time on the mowers. THAT will make the bugs happy and campers not. I'm bringing my own lawn mower and you can use if you like. See me there. Planning to arrive on 28th.

Thanks Mowdoc.

I saw the same pictures of the entrance and the creek towards the back. I'm sure they will be able to get a temporary road in place if they don't get any more rain.

We will have the Christmas Tree. It's showing some wear and tear over the years but we can't give up the tradition. When the wind blows or it rains we end up losing lots of panties but it's still fun.

Safe travels my friend. See you in a few weeks. I will be arriving on Wednesday July 31.

We might host a HDF meet and greet shindig the following year. Have fun guys.

Thought about camping at Glencoe, but after 9 days in Algona, we wouldn't mind a hotel room for Sturgis.
