Hi Everyone!
Just bought my first Harley and went big with a 2017 Limited in Bonneville Blue / Fathom Blue. I am picking it up on Thursday. I used this forum for a few months now for my research.
One of the best threads I found was on negotiating with the dealer. Someone had posted they sent an email with a bid explaining they wanted to see the dealer make a profit but at the same time, they did not want to pay MSRP. They sent a bid to all their local dealers in So. Cal and received numerous responses accepting the bid which was $2,500 below MSRP. Talk about coming from a position of strength.
Well, needless to say, I took the same approach in the greater NY area and was able to get my Limited with an out the door price of the MSRP. I essentially got the bike for $3,500 off MSRP.
I hope this helps those that are looking for a new bike.
