New Evo member in Northern WI
Hello all. A little about me........ Name is Rich and I am the proud owner of a '89 FXRP. This is my second bike but first Harley! My father in law is a long time Harley rider and sold me one from his stable of bikes. I did a lot of reading on the different bikes he has and I chose the FXRP because I am a "old-school" person at heart and wanted a carb over FI and the reliability of the EVO motor and the cult like following for the FXR. I have had the bike for a couple years and it is very well taken care of and in my opinion a great riding and comfortable bike for me. I have been doing little things to make the bike mine (Visual things like deleting some chrome and doing small performance upgrades like K&N filter and Bassani 2-1 black exhaust and replacing worn or old parts) and wanted to join here for collective knowledge when I want to perform upgrades and or other changes to the bike. Since it is my first Harley I want to keep this bike in tip top condition and plan to keep it even if I get other Harleys. I threw on a pic of my girl from last fall and since then I have replaced the windshield with a Memphis Shades Rio Grande black fade windshield which looks real slick in my opinion. So that is a little about me and again happy to finally stop being a silent lurker on the forums!

Welcome from central Wisconsin. There's a lot of old schoolers in your neck of the woods. A good buddy of mine has the same bike as yours, and he loves it.
