Newbie to the forum. Florida gulf coast
Hello everyone,
I am new to this board and would like to intro myself...I am AJ and have 2 FLHTC's.. One is a 2005 and the other I just got and its a 1989. The 89 was my best friends scoot and we made a deal with each other that if anything ever happened to one of us the other would get his scoot. My buddy was a police officer that lost his life while on duty, after some time I lost track of his wife and found her in Dec of last year. Since making contact with her I got my buds scoot and I am trying to bring her back to health and I am now more that halfway done. The scoot doesn't even have 30,000 on it yet so all is not lost.My next chore is some aftermarket slip-on mufflers that will still let me hear the tunes, but also let the world know its a Harley. If anyone has any reco's they could give me about the mufflers and maybe a how to would be awesome. I am very mechanical and can do most because of the great tool collection I have. The only question I might have with the mufflers is the connection at the actual pipe, is there a certain type of sealant that is to be used at the point where the muffler comes in contact with the pipe or is a simple bolt on application? Well enough of my jab, thanks all and have a great weekend........

Welcome from Alaska. Most manufacturers should have the connection you need where the slipons meet the pipe, just provide them the year. I'm partial to SuperTrapp.
