Recently moved from my home in Hawaii to Alabama to start my career. I'm used to being on forums for most of my hobbies (paintball, freediving/spearfishing, Volkswagens). I'm in the market for my first Harley and was happy to have found this forum.
Hoping to learn a lot and finally find my bike.
Most of my family rides and they all ride Harleys so i'm looking for either a Nightster or a Street Bob.
Trying to get my post count up so I can PM someone with a bike I'm interested in.
I was originally looking at an 883 but most of my buddies told me it would be a waste of time as I would want to move up to at least a 1200 very soon after. Though after looking for Nightsters in my area for months and not finding one in a condition I liked, I expanded my search to Fat Boys, Fat Bobs and Street Bobs. Now I'm torn between a Nightster and a Street Bob.
What are your opinions on starting with a 1200 Nightster vs a 96 or 103 Street Bob?
