daddski lol
hi guys, long time rider, just found your forum looking for answers on my 14 flhtcu clutch resivour leaking all over the place after only 5k miles... almost got me killed in Daytona heavy traffic when all of a sudden road traffic stopped from an accident. I pull in the clutch lever and no resistance, no clutch... was lucky I could get off the side of the road and kill the engine to stop the beast........
Happen to have brake fluid because was on the way to fix my daughters truck which some idiot had replaced her brake pads and reinstalled her brake line backward..... causing the tire to rub a hole in the braided line.. OMG what an idiot. He had to stretch the line to make it fit backward... anyway...
Leveled the bike, took off the cover and cleaned out the resivour, refilled, pumped up the lever and was lucky..It gained resistance and worked fine the 350 miles to her house....
So...
Coming home today..back to Florida... clutch worked flawlessly until I take the exit to my house... 4 street lights to go... clutch went soft.. hmmmmm hit kill switch... sit in traffic looking like an ***.... play wit lever, pumps back up. make it through the last light and soft again.... kill switch.... pump up the cylinder, works to turn off main road.... two stop signs to go... no clutch again.. kill switch... pump up lever.... works for last two stops and turn to my street..... hmm who left the trash can in the middle of the damn road???? lol... no clutch... kill switch.... push the damn thing to my driveway again looking stupid.. thanks Harley for your shitty design... great new Rushmore improvements you have here....
Anyway... now I see it has eaten the matte black paint off my mounting bracket and leaked on my tank... which I think I caught in time to scrub off..find out tomorrow.... have a great day guys.. how many of you have had the same problem?
