"New" 2003 SofTail purchase

Hi everyone, I am a former crotch rocket guy and recently just got sick of it. I found a good deal on a 2003 Softail so I bought it. It is a 2003 Softail Standard, only 2,600 miles and is black. It is mostly stock except for Screaming Eagle Pipes and a Stage 1 Kit.

Obviously I have many questions...

For now, I will start with three

1. What are good recommended upgrades accessories for this bike?
2. Is there a latch or something to remove the seat?
3. What the heck is the difference in all the different softail models? I have a standard, but I have seen Deuce, Nightrain, custom, etc. what are these?

Howdy, welcome to the forum.I feel that upgrades are a personal thing, I rode my bike a little before I knew what I wanted to do. On my seat, there was a bolton the back of the seat that attaches it down to the fender, at least on mine, it is that way. About the difference inthe models, I would check out the HD website and they will give you a lot of info about allthe bikes that they make,
