Default 2006 ultra cb radio noise

I am having excessive engine ignition noise in my cb. I can hear this noise with the squelch open and the riders I talk to can hear the noise also. It sounds like the noise is keeping time with the firing of the spark plugs. I have installed an inline noise filter, but I am still having the problem. Can someone please HELP.

I have an 08 Ultra SE3 and had the same problem. Tried different antennas, checked the wiring, grounds, etc, finally just had the CB replaced and it cured the problem. Works like it should now, no engine noise, whining or squealing when transmitting.

Default In the good old days of 8 track and am radios.....

Not to far back and the same problem. A capacitor between radio and and ground. It is called a spark suppressor. Radio is picking up plug wires (probably). let me know if that does not work! here is one listed on ebay!
