New member; nice guy!
Good afternoon!
OK, let's see...I'm a new member. Am a member on a couple of other forums...only one actively.
First bike was a...don't snicker...a Kaw 800A. Good bike and great to start on. I hadn't ridden since 1967! Had the bike a year. Was at the local HD buying Christmas gifts last year and saw a 2005 FatBoy in the showroom. Make the mistake of sitting on it. Bought it in January 2006. Black pearl, shield, crash bar, rear luggage rack, passenger footboards, SE exhaust, 2400 miles on it when I bought it. 9,000 now.
Brother has a Wide Glide, brother in law has an Ultra so that convinced me.
Best part is my wife was the one to convince me to "go ahead and buy the Harley".
From around Pittsburgh. Work in manufacturing. Spent 5 years in the USMC. Have 3 daughters, 7 grand kids, 2 great grand kids. No, I'm not "old", just mature and not yet able to collect S.S.
First big ride was from PA to N.C. We did the Dragon's Tale this past August, great!
OK, that's it for now.
Oh yeah; I'm thinking about putting the SE intake system on the bike. And yeah it uses about a quart of oil in 4,000 miles.
