Default Infotainment light sensor?

Anyone know where the infotainment light sensor is that tells it to go dim or brighten? Mine keeps going dim on the "automatic" brightness setting, so, I wanted to check if the sensor was dirty or damaged.

The sensor is located in the middle of the face of the tachometer.

Mine does the same thing. Just turn off the automatic setting until HD gets this figured out, maybe the next software update.

Yeah, I turned off auto and it's fine.
Weird though, it was working fine on auto until yesterday (700 miles on the bike)??

I realize this is a VERY old thread and I apologize, but, I recently purchased my bike and would like to have my dash lights on all the time. I am not finding where to change the settings off of automatic. Where the hell is this setting located?

The dash lights should already be on all the time, they should be on full brightness in sunlight and fade with the radio as the ambient light level decreases.
There was an issue with one of the GT 6.5 radio updates at one time. The issue caused the gauge lights to remain dim during the day. Updating the software in the radio may be all you need.

I'll have to look into that. I was going to have the service department reflash my computer to enable the running/passing lights to remain when high beam is on. Perhaps they can check both while I'm there.

Thank you
Jes
