GPS, 100 wave point test.

GPS, 100 wave point test.
These is my test result of the new 100 waypoint limitation, others GPS may vary.
First I would like to thank Finalshot for confirming my test results.
After the release of 1.18.3 Infotainment system, I upgraded my bike, I created a 33 waypoint route, installed the route into the bike and ran it. All the waypoints were displayed. Great, on to my next test.
Next I Created a 100 waypoint route covering 335 miles. (FYI) All routes were loaded by selecting the file name, not select all!
I loaded the test route100 into the GPS without a hitch. I selected the route to run the Infotainment system (GPS) paused for a few seconds (5-10). The menu buttons started flashing, none of the menu buttons functioned. After 5 minutes I turned the ignition switch off for 30 seconds, then back to acc. I then re-loaded my test route with the same result.
(my opinion) Due to poor programming, the routes can not be deleted until loaded. Now I have 2 routes I cannot delete.
I next created a 70 waypoint route covering 551 miles, loaded test route70 into the GPS selecting the route to run. The GPS paused for a while then the map was displayed without the route running. Time for another test route.
I Created a 64 waypoint route covering 90 miles and loaded test route64 into the GPS. After selecting the route to run the GPS paused for a while, then the map was displayed without the route running. Time for another test route.
Taking my 64 waypoint route I removed 14 waypoints to give me a 50 waypoint route covering 90 miles. I loaded test route 50 into the GPS selecting the route to run. The GPS paused for a while before the “GO” button was displayed. Selecting go the route was loaded, all the waypoints were display on the map. Wohooo.
Someplace between 50 and 64 waypoints is the max the GPS will handle.
With 7 routes installed in the GPS I fat fingered my next route and selected load all. I received a memory full message. That raise the question how many routes will the GPS hold with the new 100 waypoint limitation. Further testing is needed.
After performing a hard rest on the Infotainment system (GPS). Finalshot sent me a 74 waypoint route. It also locked up mine and his GPS and will require another hard rest.
Thanks Finalshot for your assistance in testing the GPS.

Come on guys, give kc hog a break with his "wave" points. You guys know he's talking about waypoints. Hell, at least he took the initiative to figure out that even though Harley says 100 waypoints, it doesn't work. I managed to load and run a 55 waypoint file last night and it worked as expected. But, I am tired of the hard reset so I didn't push my luck any further. Granted, how many of us will really use that many points? I think my most difficult ride is 301 miles and has 34 points but I take a lot of little back roads and turns.
Thank you kc hog for the great write up. Go edit your post and change wave to way..... I plan to call Customer service on Friday and tell them about this issue. I give them a call once a week to reconfirm the issues I have every week. I like to keep the pressure on them.
