Default Hacking the HD Infotainment System

After reading the firmware update code. It appears the OVI (On-Vehicle-Infotainment) system runs a small linux kernel.

I was wondering if anyone was successful in accessing it via SSH?

I have been strongly thinking about it. Besides of a few interface improvements that could be made, I wanted to make the 4.3s display something other than that stock ugly amber color. I have yet to really dig into it though.

I'd be interested in trying, but I don't think I'd be willing to try it with my real unit... if I could pick up one to run on the workbench from a scrap bike that would be a different story.

As far as I'm concerned, the number one hack would be bypassing the EULA / Safety warning on startup... but beyond that, what needs to be changed?

I'll second that motion...

I have not been on my bike in 5+ months, but maybe make it connect and play music from my iPhone automatically on every start up....?

Being able to connect and use a Bluetooth headset is my #1 followed by reconnecting to the phone music on start up.

+1 Fully functioning Bluetooth Headset connection. Still can't believe they still haven't fixed this issue. I'm sure when we all bought our Motorcycles we were convinced that we could just connect our bluetooth headsets and control the infotainment system. Just disappointing that all of our complaints are just being ignored.
