Noticed that CVO bikes have the carbon fiber insert, while the Limited just has the black plastic piece.

I recently added the carbon fiber inner fairing trim piece and would like to swap about the piece around the mic connector and can't find a part number. Anyone got one?

What's the trick to getting the headset connector off of the old console?

 

Theres a little notched plastic ring that holds the fold down cap onto the actual CB connector. Get the little ring started with a small flat head screwdriver then it spins off pretty easily by hand.

 

Thanks to Wayne and everyone else. I got this completed today, including the carbon fiber insert. I opted for the retaining brackets and screws over the 3M tape method. Raining like crazy, so picture isn't the best.

 

Did you also install the Carbon Fiber Inner Fairing kit? Would love to see some pictures. Was it difficult to install?

 

You just reminded me I've got all those parts laying here waiting to go on...
