Boom! Audio Hidden AM/FM/WB Antenna install
I just installed the Boom! Audio Hidden AM/FM/WB Antenna (P/N: 76000513). Anyone have any comments about it? Was a pretty simple install, but found that the instructions were a tad bit off (like the length of the antenna wires).
But other than that - seemed pretty easy.

I installed a new HU today, Used the HD hidden antenna, Wouldnt pick up the station I was listening to all day on an old cheap AM/FM radio in my garage. Rerouting it got a little better, Butt lots of static hiss. Going for a ride tomorrow, I was really looking foreward to some good tunes on my new Sony. Although some other stations did come in clear with HDFM.I may go back to a short flexible whip in back.

Some say they don't lose reception but this post explains the science. In my case I lost so much reception that it was not useable. IIRC, the HD one is powered which is even worse that the passive JM one.
Like another post says, I couldn't get stations on the hidden radio that came in clear on a junk garage radio. And the stations I had trouble with had a strong signal. WESA Signal Map
Anyway, here's the science explained: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...l#post13819244

Took it for a ride to check out the reception. Typically when I head over to Martinez the signal really is bad with the shorty antenna - but it appears that the hidden one picks up the signal pretty good so far.
As far as AM/FM - and depending on where the signal is coming from - it is ok.
The main reason I wanted the hidden antenna was so I could get rid of my antenna and have a cleaner look on the back end of the bike. I typically use my USB or XM for music - and rarely listen to AM/FM.
