Default Trading up to new CVO

I just talked to my dealer about trading my 2014 Limited with 7k miles for a 2016 CVO Limited when they come out next month. If there is no price increase it will cost me about 19 k. I don't think that will happen.

CVO's are great bikes...no doubt. Not sure I'd buy a new off the floor model. You can find some good deals on used CVO's that look like they haven't been ridden at all...cause they weren't. Just my two cents...

I think I would keep my Limited and buy a Breakout for $19K.

I love the cvo's. I agree with Houston on this tho...you can usually find a year old one with a few hundred miles on it that somebody bought and then realized he doesn't have time to ride or the ability to ride. you can get those bikes cheaper. being a cvo you will still pay quite a bit but less than sticker. I know a guy who buys and sells bikes. he always gets good deals on cvo's....if you want, let me know what cvo you are looking for and I will see if he has one. I will be there next wed. to get my bike serviced so its ready for the ride to Sturgis. he take your bike on trade as well. i have bought my last 3 bikes from him. he is very fair.

I had a 09 cvo roadglide that i bought new. nice bike & i liked it. Sold it & bought a new 15 road glide special & added the stage IV kit. I like the 15 rgs better than the 09cvorg. It's got as much if not more power than the 09, also the new fairing is great I does'nt have all the bling of the cvo but that's okay.

Bought a 15 CVO Roadglide Ultra and haven't looked back since.

Get what you want when you want it. You can wait and shop around or you can just pull the trigger and enjoy it.

I'd think twice about the CVO, I agree with the others. Buy late model used, you will lose 10 grand soon as you leave the showroom. These Harley's don't hold there value like they used to. I bought a new 14 ultra limited for 32,000 out the door, it has 8000 mi. On it now, it's only worth $20,000 now. Good luck with your decision!

I have a brother in law that is all CVO. I bought a SGS and added what I want and make it what I want. If you have a CVO you really feel it's hard to change the CVO after all the money spent. I have as much in mine as a CVO but is the only one like it. I tell my brother in law all the time there's only one like mine and approx. 2500 like his. Just my 2 cents.

Get the CVO. I just bought a 15 CVO Road Glide and only paid 4K more out the door than wet head paid for his 14 Ultra limited. Worth every penny for me, but to each his own.
