GoPro Anyone???

Posted this over in the Trike forum and thought maybe some of you guys or girls may also have input on the matter.

Ok, I have a GoPro, never really used the thing but want to start playing with it on some of our more interesting trips.

Looking for mounting ideas, helmet mount is definitely out.

Thinking about this one from Leader, http://www.leadermotorcycle.com/gopr...r-stem-chrome/

Quite pricey to play with but good reviews also.

Ideas anyone?????

TIA

You say helmet mount is out. Well, then you've got problems, unless of course you don't mind having videos vibrating. I tried every location and the only place I found that gives perfect smooth videos in helmet mounting.

I have a GoPro but haven't used it on the Bike yet. I have used a helmet mount and used it snowboarding. One mount system I'm gonna eventually get is the Wiz Mount. I think the link is www.wizmount.com . It's pretty cool and can give you video with you in it. Check it out.

+1 on the Hog collar, No vibration and the power plugin eliminates the 2hr battery limitation.

I tried a RAM u-bolt mount on the crashbar of my Limited. Too much vibration.
sample video:

Next, I went to a RAM Touch Claw on the crashbar - better, but still some vibration are certains speeds/RPMs. Will post some video soon.

Next, I might try mounting a Go Pro stick-on to the edge of the inner fairing so it can see around the windshield.

I really like being able to turn it off/on while riding (without a remote), so I'm holding out hope one of these options will work. My next option will be the Hog Collar.

Thanks guys! The Hog Collar looks promising and not too bad on price for an experiment. I have a Hero2 HD so I can't use their battery eliminator. Not even sure they make a BE for the Hero2, something I need to check out.

Hog collar is my first choice, expecially if you get battery eliminater.

2nd choice is ram tough claw on the engine bars/saddle bag bars, not to bad while moving, alot more vibration when at a stop.

3rd helmet mount, not bad unless you move your head around alot.

One thing to remember is they all have their advantages, for different footage, a little bit of all chopped up and spliced together makes for a nice video.

I use the gopro roll bar mount on my crash bar. Get a bit of vibration but it usually settles down.
