Setup (upper right corner)
Scroll down and select "system information"
Scroll down and select "navigation"
Scroll down and select "export for update"
Select "USB #1"
It will then do the export and display when it has completed.
PS. Found this with a Google search which might help

I can tell you one thing for sure if you do not have a valid Fingerprint from your bike the navextra site will not connect your usb device.
I did all the updates a couple days ago So for the hell of it i wiped my usb stick and went back to navextras site and tried to log in with my usb would not recognize me or the usb stick So I went back out to the bike Connect usb stick
press Home
press setup
press system info
press navagation
press export for update
select your usb stick
The system will then export your data from the unit to the stick about 3mins
I then came back in to the computer opened Toolbox and pluged in the usb stick it connected and told me I was up to date and had already downloaded the maps. Hope this helps

Still no good
I have a valid login username and password for the naviextra's site,
I have on the USB stick,
folder, content
folder, license
folder, save
device_ checksum.md5
device_status.ini
it has 3.77gb of data when plugged in to the naviextra's toolbox site, it just wont log me in on the toolbox or read the USB??
It's the same USB stick that I use for software updates, formatted to FAT32!!
I'm at a loss!!

Well if you have 3.77gb on the usb stick
that sounds like you have maps on the stick
On a stick with only the finger print I have just under
7MB on the under drive properties
In the root 1 folder called
NaviSync
in the naviSync folder there is
folder, content
folder, license
folder, save
device_ checksum.md5
device_status.ini
What does your usb stick show whem plugged into your computer and you look at drive properties.

Check your license folder, you should have files.
Harman_OpenNav_Harley_NA_CVO_2013Q2_Prod5.lyc
Harman_OpenNav_Harley_NA_CVO_2013Q2_Prod7.lyc
If you have a non-cvo bike or a different map version the name will be different. It's also possible the lyc file could have a different ProdX
number.
I had the same problem of the finger print not being recognized and found I was missing the Prod5.lyc file. Once I got a copy of this everything has worked fine.
I've updated the maps(2014Q2) and reran the fingerprint and the naviextra toolbox is happy.
If your license files are ok and if you can get a copy of the fingerprint from another bike(dealer or friend), you can use windiff(google it) to compare the directories. This is how I found out I was missing one of the lyc files.
