Default 10,000 mile service question

Hey guys, just a quick question. I am getting ready to put the bike up for the winter here in Michigan, should i do my 10,000 service now, or can it wait till spring?

Sorry if this has been answered before, the phone won't let me search while I'm in my deer stand.

Think I would wait until spring and then everything is fresh. Plus if there should be a problem with the service you can have it corrected and not have to explain they made a mistake last fall when they serviced it. Just my 2 cents.

You're better off storing a bike over the winter, assuming that's what you're asking, with fresh oil, then contaminated oil, I'd do it now.

I would do it before you put it away, and don't forget to add stabil. I will have 8000 miles and i will do the 10,000 service myself next month. It is a little early, but would rather have clean fluids in for the storage. Then put the cover on it, and battery tender.

I would change the oil now so you have fresh oil in place for the extended down time. Have done it this way on past 3 bikes and never had a problem.

Yep, what he said is a best practice

Do it BEFORE you stow it.

I lived outside of *******, MI for a lot of years, and no matter the mileage, I changed before the long winter nap.

Just did a full service on the 15 Limited. Had 13.5k on it. I like everything fresh for storage. Three and a half months till Daytona. I will ride the King till it snows.
