Sirius / XM Radio Module

As you have gathered by now, it's extra.
I'll say this, it's real easy to install. I did it in my dealers parking lot. The general manager wasn't happy about it, but I was. They wanted to charge me an hour labor. The service writer watched me install it, he had never done one. Took about 20 minutes to do.
The module mounts in the back of the radio head unit. It's like installing a pc card in a desktop computer. 2 #10 torx screws, if I remember correctly. I ran my antenna outside of the fairing for better reception. Other threads had done complaining about reception, so I fixed that problem.

Do you have SirusXM in a auto as well? If so, how is the reception with the antenna mounted on top of the dash? I want to get the module but don't want to get it if I can't get good reception like I do in my Jeep.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I mounted it on top of the dash on my bike too and it was a big improvement. I should mention that I also bought and installed a high gain Sirius/XM antenna and that also helped the signal strength. I think the biggest problem is the buffer with the Harley system versus those on vehicles. Nevertheless I am happy that I am able to satellite radio on my Ultra Limited. Makes the ride that much more enjoyable!
