Aitch - I am not certain - but have to ask/suggest this.

If your 2015 SGS radio has the capability to add the Harley XM module, then, I have to believe that this aftermarket radio will work.

On the other hand - the unit is only $36. At that price, if this is what I wanted, I would buy it - and if it didn't not work, I would try to send it back.

OK guys, that adapter works with many but not all radios. If the radio doesn't have the mating jack, "it aint gonna work".

The aftermarket xm modules do not work on the Boom radios. The aftermarket modules plug into aftermarket radios that are equipped with the xm option.

HD Boom head units use a module that slides into the back of the radio, much like a pc/network card on a computer.

I have a few bikes and cars, but prefer to only pay SiriusXM for one subscription and do not want to rely on Cell Phone Reception and the SiriusXM App.

I just move the Radio from Bike to Bike to Bike to Car to Car to etc., etc.

So-o-o-o-o-o what I did was to purchase and install the following on my Harley:
- Harley's 3.5mm AUX Input Cable P/N: 69200907 (~$33.00) (Harley's Instructions are attached.)
- A 3.5mm Splitter Cable with 1 Maile and Two Female Terminals (~$6.00)
- A SiriusXM Stratus 7 Satellite Radio with Vehicle Kit (~$30.00) FWIW, with a bit of cajoling, Sirius will give you one for free, if you ask for one.
- A mounting Bracket such as the TSS Audio P/N CMM-201-CH (~$38.00) -or- from Electrical Connection order the Clutch Side Bracket for a Goldwing, it fits and it's $15.00. It's just not chrome plated. https://electricalconnection.com/ind...dlebar-mounts/
- A 12V to 5V DC Power Supply such as "EDO Tech Direct Vehicle Power Cord 5V Adapter Kit Sirius XM Radio" (~$15.00).

With all of this installed you'll need to have your dealer flash the BoomBox to recognize the 3.5mm Input. Once they do that you're good to go.

I used the splitter so that I could have an open/unused 3.5mm AUX Connector in the "Glove Box" as shown. If the SiriusXM Radio is off or disconnected I can plug any audio source I want into this: iPod, GPS, etc. FWIW, if you leave the SiriusXM Radio turned on, and you plug another audio source into the free 3.5mm Connector at the same time, no damage is done. You just get both audio sources stepping on each other.

I just use my existing portable XM/Sirius radio with an FM tuner on the bike. I can't afford to have four accounts. So I can get Satellite radio in car, truck, house and bike, just by moving the head unit around. I have extra antennas at each location.

I originally tried using the aux. input and xm car install kit. I mounted the docking station on the bike and it worked for a while. The bike vibration ended up ruining the pins for the electrical connection between the xm head unit and docking station. After 2 docking stations, I gave up. I ended up spending the coin for the HD module.

Spendy yes, but worth it in the long run. I really like the integration between the radio and xm. Being able to see the xm screen and using the thumb controls made it worth it.

I have a subscription for the truck and the bike right now. I used to have a portable that I used in the garage but figured it was just as easy to use my phone or tablet plugged into the stereo for that and save a subscription fee. I also just use the phone in the little car I get back and forth to work in since I always have cell coverage to and from work. I am thinking about dropping the subscription for the truck and just using the phone or tablet with Bluetooth for the times I drive it, there is usually cell coverage and for what little time there might not be I can listen to regular radio briefly.

I will keep the radio on the bike as the one that is subscribed though because I need to keep one sub to use the app and as mentioned previously mentioned it's nice to have it integrated on the bike. I can use the handlebar controls to the channels, see what's playing on the screen, etc.

I’d be interested in the high gain antenna if you’d be willing to share where you purchased yours. 🙂
