I'm swapping everything over to LEDs with smoked lenses on my 2015 ultra limited. I already have the smoked LED fender tips and dynamic rings front blinkers from custom dynamics. I'm going to buy the tour pack wrap around smoked LEDs and the bottom side maker lights from harley. My question is should I buy the smoked laydown brake light from harley or custom dynamics? Would there be a matching concern with the rear fender tip light or the wrap around light with going one way or the other?

 

You would think if you have already put smoked CD lights/lens on bike you would stick with them. There is a difference with CD and Harley Davidson smoked lens.

 

Custom Dynamics are usually brighter.That is not a bad thing.I have a Bright *** light,the brightest You can buy.They are more reasonable than prior years.$199.00.The have blinking patterns built-in.No need for magic strobes.You decide.

 

If you want everything to match in appearance, get the Harley taillight. I put the saddle bag lights on my '14 Limited and got the Harley taillight so everything would match. It's plenty bright.

I went with the BAL for the reasons listed. But, the HD light matches the tour pack.
I didn't care about that last part and have HD, CD, & BAL on my rear end.

 

I guess there lies the question....match the tour pack or cd fender tip. I'm thinking fender tip

 

I went with all Harley smoked lights on the rear and CD with clear lenses on the front. I really like the look of the smoked rear lenses with the Charcoal Pearl paint on my '14 FLHTK. The HD smoked lay down tail light is much brighter than the stock taillight and the LED size, pattern and brightness match the top box and HD smoked fender tip light. The HD smoked fender tip light also acts as a brake light. I installed the smoked side running lights on the top box also.

Looks like an upside down X-Mas tree. All the lights match good.
