There is plenty of space to coil them up under the seat. I don't use FM or CB so I separated them from the harness and stashed them behind the battery.

Love all the info in this thread - thanks to all of you for sharing.

Does anyone know - are the pre-Rushmore and Rushmore rear fender assemblies the same? Any issue swapping a pre- complete fender onto a Rushmore bike?

Sorry to bring back an old thread but I am looking for some advice.

I have a 2018 Ultra (international model as I am in the UK) and I am looking to put the fender extension on and a CD tri bar light, I want to keep my existing lights set up (separate brake and turn signals), I don't have the harnesses for the tri bar light at the moment obviously. I have attached some pics for info.

Is it just the wiring harnesses 40 and 41 I would need, will they plug and play with my existing wiring without having to change the rest of my lights? Where does the end of wiring harness 40 go into?

Thanks for your help!

CD tri bar (international version)

You need to get the lower tri-bar with the attached wiring from a 2006-2009 Street Glide and it will plug into an open spot on your existing tail light....

The custom dynamics light has the slots for the newer style wiring, so I don't have that option unfortunately.

Thanks for your message, I could look into getting the old style light if I have a spare slot in my lighting.

I'm not familiar with the custom dynamics light system. I'm not at home but can get a picture of the 2008 light and how it plugs into the stock chrome trim ring which looks like the one in your picture when I do get home. I know it was plug and play when I did it on my 2012 Road King which had the same rear center light as my 2017 Road King - I swapped out my fender for a 2016 Street Glide fender and used the newer style wiring harness.

That would be brilliant if you could, that would at least let me know that I can get the old style tri-bar as a worst case scenario.

Thanks again

There are a lot of variables when adding a tri-bar to an Ultra. I switched from the stock setup with center light to a street glide fender with no center light on my 2011. I see the wiring is very different between the 2011 and your 2018 international. I have 40 & 41 which works for me but I don’t think it works on your bike because you still have the center light. My 40 has a different connector than the one on my bike. Custom Dynamics has an adapter that worked for me. I know its not the same as your model but for me it provided plug and play, no splicing. Since you have the CD tribar I think CD can find a solution for you. If you haven't looked at their adapters yet check them out. If you see something that may work I would contact them with your model info and ask if they have an adapter to get their tribar working with your international Ultra.
