Default 16 Roadglide CVO baffle removal

Just bought my Rushmore CVO yesterday.... Man is it quiet. Has anybody removed the baffles out of the stock pipes on a cvo? Adverse effects? When I bought my 2010 Ultra classic baffle removal was the first thing I did to the Rieghnhart exhaust... greatly improved sound with no adverse effects Wasn't sure about the 2016 CVO though... Thanks in advance for help or input.

I removed my stock baffles and put in a set of fullsac 2". I took the packing from one muffler and cut it in 2 and put half in each muffler. It is quite a bit louder now and no popping or anything. I will add that it does add highway drone if you wear a full face helmet.

I will also add that when you do remove the baffles to make sure the welds are ground all the way off. I did a half *** job grinding them off and when I went to knock out my baffle I ripped a hole in the muffler at the weld.

To be brutally honest, you have a CVO dude do it right...get yourself a set of street cannons or aftermarket slips ons. IMO the baffle-less pipes just dont sound good.

Fullsac "D" X-pipe, CVO Baffles, Baffle screens would be what "MOST" CVO owners do!

Just saying.

On my Road Glide CVO I did the Reinhart Power Dual headers and pipes. Nice look and sound.

I gotta go with the bird on this one. Fullsac and CVO'S just go together.
I did the X pipe and 2" baffles with the stock AC and a tuner. Bike runs almost as good as it did with the D&D'S Fat Cat on it but a lot quieter.

You could try changing just the head pipe, getting rid of the cat makes more noise. I have stock CVO mufflers on my bike without the cat and like the sound. You can sell your mufflers and do slip-ons too. Most people do bolt on changes.

I agree with you here. pipes without baffles sound like crap (a little less politically correct way of putting it) and like he said, you paid a nice bit of change for a CVO. Its really best to do it right. Hell I would not use house paint to paint my white vette red.
