You need a new dealer, as most are doing this for free.

Flipped mine over this morning. You can certainly see them better in the daylight. Pouring rain now so prolly tomorrow night before I get to check them on a night ride. I sure hope this is the answer. I hate not being able to see in the turns and curves. It's the only thing I don't like about this bike.

Seriously though, can you tell which one is upside down?

I flipped my lights tonight but I can't get out for a ride to see how it works. However, it made a massive difference. I actually put mine at a slight angle with the thought that it would throw the light higher up for cornering, but after seeing how much it changed I decided to put them mostly inline with the horizontal plane.
For comparison, here's a before and after of the beam projected onto my garage door for your reference. I may need to lower them a tad, but I'll try them out first before I make any more changes.

high beam + spots in stock position.

Low beam + spots in stock position.

high beam + spots in upside down position.

Last edited by KMC1; 04-29-2016 at 07:28 PM. Reason: Either the low beam or the high beam bulb lights at a time - not both. Edited to correct.

I just tried it and don't like it. I have no need for the lights that high, wider is what I need. Cant imagine you wont get flashed with them that high. Disadvantage I see is you will have to dim them then loose your width which to me is more important for seeing deer. I can see it in hill country though.

If you want them wider, can you turn them to the outside a little?

Have you ridden at night with the spots upside down yet? Are other drivers flashing you, or did you adjust the spots down more? And most importantly- when leaning into a corner, are they throwing more light into the corner/apex?

Haven't ridden with them at night yet, haven't even done the other side I just flipped one quick last night to see the difference.

If they are too bright and you get flashed you can turn them off around town and turn them on in the mountains at night.

Box with auxiliary lights is sitting in garage patiently waiting for your ownself to do this critically important test.

...taps foot and stares at ceiling...
