All the AC is doing is letting air through a filter into the intake. It's not responsible for the Fuel/Air mixture itself as long as its not restricting it. For our Rushmore's the stock AC is already very high flowing. With a stock motor I'm sure it is more than it needs already. The ECM should just be using the amount of air it's programmed to in the mix. That's why we need tuners...otherwise we'd be back to screw adjusters like a carb as far as I can tell. I do plan to tune it down the road. I could be wrong here of course. Wouldn't be the first time.

50 mile ride tonight and seems fine. Runs the same as before as far as I can tell on the factory stock tune. I do have slip ons, but the cat is still in the stock header. No stumbles, no popping, no anything. Runs the same as it did with the stock AC.

Can is not as low as it looks in this pic. No risk of it contacting the ground in a turn.

Thanks guys. Yeah the two tone was begging for the teardrop. I may mix it up one day, but for now I'm going with the vintage scheme.

Just an update. I feel it's running better and smoother with the new AC and external breather. Just feels like a happier motor. Tiny bit more pep maybe and smoother. Wonder if the ECM is adjusting for more air flow by adding more fuel? Or maybe just cleaner air getting rid of the internal breather recycling hot dirty air into the intake? Either way its been a nice perk.

I was able to remove said bracket when I did my SE/AC, without removing the gas tank. It is tight but doable.
