Stage 1 on my Road Glide Ultra

Stage 1 on my Road Glide Ultra
I am going to have my dealership perform a Stage 1 upgrade on my 2016 Road Glide Ultra CVO. Have a couple of questions on opinions...
1. With the V & H headers - would you go Dresser Duals, or Bowtie (slightly uglier with a little performance gain)? Had the bowtie on my 2010 Ultra Limited...
2. Has anyone heard a catless Bassani DNT (deep n' throaty)? I want a low rumble - but not too much on the highway... I've just heard them as slip-ons on stock headers - sound perfect that way...
Thanks - appreciate your insights....

You have a CVO. then you already have free flow in take (AC) you already have free flow exhaust. The CVO has a lot for **** on it that is why you pay the big price for it. Best to let it be a while and get a good understanding of what you purchased.

If you're going to put other pipes on it, you might as well get the bike dyno tuned. The bike has the one fits all map applied and the dealer will happily put it on their dyno if they have one then charge you by the hour while the new mechanic reads the instructions on how to do a dyno tune.
The other option is to find a good indy whose reputation rides on doing a good dyno tune. Buy the pipes and have them drop shipped to you or the indy and have him install them and do the tune.
The dealer will also gladly take your existing stage 1 off and install another one for ya. What the customer doesn't understand, the better for the dealer.

Check out the Fullsac exhaust headers and baffles. Many CVO owners have gone this route with excellent results. I went with the DX Header and 2'' baffles. Also the TTS Mastertuner. They will send the tuner and a canned map. A good indy can do the work if you are unable to. FWIW CVO mufflers are anything but free flowing.

I just went thru the same process on my 16 ultra limited.
Opinions are all over the map and so is people's satisfaction.
I refused to spend $1600 on parts without knowing what would happen andnot how much more HP I would gain.
Right now a popular thread is, 'backing out of Stage I'
Took me weeks to find data instead of opinions.
Research FuelMoto here and then look at their website.
If they don't have what you need, call them, great people-they will help.
In 5 minutes, Ryan explained to me the options out there. It was then pretty
easy to decide what I wanted.

Noticed you mentioned exhaust heat. I did a fuel Moto stage one with tuner, ac and slipons with plans to swap out head pipe later. I think now I will leave as is because I don't seem to get any heat that bothers me coming from engine on my RGS. I see you have an ultra with lower fairings so they are probably causing some heat to build up down by your legs. A stage one should run cooler according to what I have read on here and by my own observations.

If you are choosing between the V&H Dresser duals and Power Duals I would highly recommend the Power Duals as it is a 2/1/2 style pipe rather than true duals. Performance wise the Power Duals easily outperform the Dresser duals, especially on a CVO with its 110" motor and SE255 cams.
