Default Some advice please

I bought a new 2016 Road King the other day. I set her up as a solo and removed the passanger floor boards. Now the advice; there are several threaded holes after I removed the floor boards. Has anyone else done this and what did you use to cover up the holes?

Any sugestions would be appreciated.

Home Depot has nickel and chrome plated hole plugs. Check them out. I thought I found some black plastic ones but I don't see them.

Harley had some black plastic plugs at one time that I have used. On my 16 I just put some black rtv sealant in the holes and then trimmed it with a razor blade .

Check with the parts guy at your local Harley dealer. I don't know the part number but the black plastic plugs are used on other bikes to plug threaded holes. The black plastic ones blend well on the frame.

I didn't remove anything but another solution is putting chrome bolts in the holes. I went to Ace Hardware and was able to find the correct size.

Either the black plugs or the chrome bolts.

I used black body one way pins. They are used mostly on auto trim panels. They are ribbed to push in easy but tough to back out. Can be found at any parts store, 5/16" works. Here's some pics...

I think that would look terrible with the wrapper and tin foil stuffed in the hole.

I used a frame paint touch up marker and just painted the threads and the hole seemed to disappear.
