Default Limited tire replacement opinion

A friend of mine asked me what I thought about a brand name for replacing his stock tire on his 2015 Limited. He is at 20000 miles. Since I am at 5000 I have no idea. I have seen people like different tires on here including the stock one. So I am asking for him as to peoples opinions on what tire he should purchase. Thanks in advance..

If he got 20,000 miles and didn't have a particular problem with ride, traction, etc. why wouldn't he just stay with the same OEM (Dunlop) tire?

I thought that a lot of people on here had early problems with cupping and/or wobble with some of the stock Dunlops...... that's y the question. % of not so good stock tires.

There are lots of "personal" preferences.

But I have to agree with the American Elite tires.

I am running them on my '15 Limited now, and used them on my previous '11 Street Glide.
Great tires.

Cupping is a common problem the oem dunlops. I started having issues with my stock dunlops at 5000 miles. Air pressure is always monitored. On my 2009 and 2010 i replaced the stock rubber with american elites and have since gotten rid if the problems with the stock tires. Not sure if it's the tread pattern or compound but they are a better replacement tire.
