Anyone know how exactly this works? How does it wire into the bike so it changes red when you hit the brakes?
Any issues leaving the lights on and the battery going dead? Like while in a restaurant eating or similar...
Tap into the brake relay or positive brake light wire: To utilize the controller’s Smart Brake feature, the red wire on
the controller must be tapped into the brake relay or positive brake light wire. Please refer to your owners manual.
I had the older version with the new bluetooth kit. Works good, I like it and have left it on when in Twin Peaks or Hooters. We are usually in there for a few hours. Get out and bike start right up. Also I wire the brake wire into the brake light wire and works wonders.
Love mine. Never have had an issue with leaving the lights on for a few hours. Haven't tapped into the brake lights yet, but it's on the list of things to do.
Ok I have these on my bike and I left them on all day at work by accident. From 8:15 am to 6:30 pm. Bike would not start. Had to have wife bring trickle charger to work. 1 hour later bike barley fired up. Got bike home and trickle charged overnight, all good. Love the lights. So now they have a new feature to light up lights when braking....cool!

That is the exact reason I bought one of these. I like this company as 1) they're fairly local to me & 2) a Mom-&-Pop shop 3) they have a harness which connects to the battery and is tucked under my left side cover. You have to call and ask for the harness as it's not on their site. It's about the size of my iPhone 6+ and I've used it to jump start a big ol POS van at a gas station.

So do do this right at the rear wire harness plug somehow?
