TGS 32310-08 install
For the life of me I cannot seem to find an "all-in-one" post of key steps or points as to what goes into using the TGS 32310-08 on a Rushmore Touring bike.
Let me state what I think I know, then I ask of the forum to fill in my gaps (or direct me to the post I missed):
- The 32310-08 kit does not have the correct male connector. Must purchase a molex socket 72414-07BK.
- The 32310-08 kit does not have the correct pins. Must purchase 6 x 72168-07 pins. This point has been argued as to whether the Rushmore pins are different, or at least will work.
- A wiring scheme for the new connection is below. Is it correct?:
yellow conduit:
black to cavity 1
white to cavity 2
red to cavity 3
black conduit:
black to cavity 4
white to cavity 5
red to cavity 6
- Some have taken the TGS to their local HD for crimping the new connectors. Is the necessary crimping tool a specialty item?
What other key items have I missed? Some have reused the stock molex connector. Some have used the pins that came with the kit.
****Edit: Looks like this post mostly explains what I need. On thing left is to verify that the connectors are indeed different, as well as the inexpensive tool for crimping.

Further, Molex cites that the female connector part above is obsolete and replaced with 33012-3003.
