Default H.O.G. MemberShip, Should I renew??

I figure this is cheap insurance on a trip etc. I think the road side a lone pays for itself.

What are your takes on this... who has it and who has used it to the fill benefit ie roadside etc?

I was able to get into the Museum for free so that was the use that I got out of it last year.

It is pretty cheap , just the book and one benefit and it's paid for.

From one experience of using the HOG roadside assistance, I wouldn't use that as my basis for renewing. I believe they give you one
call and they'll cover the cost up to $100. If you travel extensively, AAA has a much better program.

I carry the premium Hog. Ride a lot, cheap insurance IMO. It covers both my bikes. 100 miles or more from home lodging cover if broken down. Free entry to HD museum. I live near Milwaukee.
When riders come from out of town I don't have to pay to get in. The motel discounts are a hit or miss. Never had to worry about that before . Company I worked for would make reservation for me and the rate was crazy low. Retired now so that will change this year.
I like the small map they send every year. Sticking with it myself.

hog uses roadamerica for towing, I've had HORRIBLE service with them. left me on hold for 30 minutes redialed and never answered. in the meantime my riding buddy had a private tow on the way. then fought with them for several months(when they answered the phone) and never even got a partial reimbursement.

I keep my HOG and upgrade to the Premium roadside service, covers unlimited towing and some expenses if on the road, used it once and while it took a couple hours for someone to get to me I didn't pay a dime to get my bike to the nearest HD dealer, I was glad I had it, plus you get the HOG mag which is a good read, the Road Atlas and other bennies. Heck HOG gets you cell phone discount with most carriers too..

To clarify, the towing of all vehicles is strictly for mechanical breakdowns. I hit a deer in my cage and they said accidents are not covered.

I like everything about it. The magazines, patches, pins, HOG stops and pins at events, road atlas, articles plus the towing, etc. great value to me.
