Hammock vs Mustang
#11
I put a few hundred miles on a Hammock demo seat and found it to be comfortable for the butt, but I did not like the raised seating position. I ended up buying a Mustang Summit which moved me back 1.75", kept ride height the same and thinned up the nose of the seat. Although the Hammock was comfy from the start and the Summit takes a few hundred miles to break in, ultimately the ride position for me was better with the Summit. At 6'2" with a 32" inseam, I was already towering over the windshield and didn't want anymore height. The added height also caused back pain from hunching over. If you have 12" bars, the height probably isn't an issue. I also enjoy being seated back 1.75" from the stock position. Like someone else said, seat comfort is very subjective and probably no 2 people out of 100 will agree on what they like.

I have the 76860 Mustang Super Touring for my 19 limited. I have to be honest, to me it feels like it sits lower and “in” the bike rather than on it.
It certainly sits me back a solid inch to inch and a half. It could be the way the back of the driver seat comes up, but with a stock seat I felt like I was on top of the bike and certainly on top of the gas tank.
I had my stocker redone by Astech with memory foam, gel and dished. It was more comfortable than stock for sure, I just didn’t care for the seating position.
I’ve sat on a hammock...just didn’t care for it... good luck to you. Finding the right seat, bars, windshield...are the rider holy grail of comfort to start.

I don't know what seat my bike came with (bought used) but parts guys often gave me a weird look about the white base being non-factory. Looked and felt like a very thin factory seat, and worn out.
I put this one on my '16 RU and it sat me much more "upright". I wasn't slouching like the prior seat.
